At RiverBank, protecting you is our priority. That’s why we are excited to announce Falcon Fraud® Protection (Falcon) for your RiverBank debit card. Beginning March 12, 2012, Falcon will analyze your debit card transactions as they occur, detecting potential fraud quickly to minimize your risk and protect you against losses. Best of all, this added security is provided at no cost.
Some important information is included below on how Falcon works and what you need to know to get the most from this new debit card feature. If you have any questions, please give us a call, email, or stop in to visit.
For business debit cards, all Falcon Fraud Specialist calls will be placed to the business’s contact numbers not the individual cardholder. Make sure you have provided us with the current business phone numbers, including cell phone or evening contact, so we can reach the business quickly if questionable activity is detected.

Why is RiverBank adding this protection?
Unfortunately, debit card fraud continues to increase. In order to best protect our customers, we are investing in Falcon. Falcon provides an additional layer of security against unauthorized debit card transactions with real-time, 24/7 monitoring.
Are all debit card transactions monitored?
Yes. PIN-based and signature-based transactions are monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
How will a Falcon Fraud® Specialist contact me?
Specialists will only
contact you via telephone. They will never contact you via email or postal mail.
How are transaction scores determined?
Falcon maintains files about current fraud trends. It also learns your normal spending patterns. Based on a combination of this information, Falcon evaluates your transactions. If a transaction appears suspicious, a Falcon Fraud®
Specialist will contact you.
Could a legitimate transaction get blocked?
Yes. A legitimate transaction may flag as suspicious if it does not fit your usual spending behavior. That’s why it is important to keep your contact numbers current so we can contact you quickly. And don’t forget to notify us before you travel or go on vacation.
Does Falcon guarantee it will catch all fraud?
No. Falcon is a state-of-the art fraud detection and prevention system. However, no system can protect from all fraud. That’s why it is so important to review your account activity frequently and notify us of any suspicious transaction(s) immediately.
Does Falcon cost anything?
No. Falcon is provided at no cost.
Do I need to sign up or enroll for Falcon Fraud® Protection?
No. Starting March 12, 2012, all existing and new debit cards will automatically receive Falcon.
